Fabulous vintage never-worn pair of black patent leather Mary Jane style shoes, with interesting cut-out straps on the upper. They fasten at the side with a tiny MOP button. Leather soles. In original box. Box has great graphics! Stamped with "Walk Over" inside and outside on the sole. This style is called " Strap Hollywood". Truly a great shoe from the era

This is part of a collection of antique and vintage shoes  we recently procured from Carey's Shoe Store, a store that was established in 1919 in Charlevoix, Michigan. The family recently decided to let go of the remaining stock of the store, about 150 pairs, most new and in their original boxes. We will be listing them over the next few months.

 

•Marked Size: Shoe marked 36, which corresponds with US 6, and I compared them to a modern shoe, looks about right.
•Measured length inside, heel to toe: 9 1/4"
•Width across bottom: 2 3/4"
•Heel: 2 3/4"

•Condition: Deadstock, and supple enough to wear. Flaw is that the patent has some dull spots and is a little crunchy. But they are wearable .
Note:we do not guarantee that these shoes will hold up for any period of time. They are old, but in excellent condition structurally. However, theres no way to know their future.
